Ned Lamont--How wrong was I and what do I do next?

Tue Aug 01, 2006 at 10:19:44 PM PDT

A few months ago, I was convinced that Ned Lamont stood no chance to win the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senator from Connecticut.  In fact, I believed that his biggest supporters on this website--namely Markos and Armando--were wasting all of our time and dollars on a pointless excercise in what it "means to be a Democrat."  Needless to say, I stand corrected.

Just a few minutes ago, I sent Ned Lamont postcards to two of my relatives in Connecticut through Ned's website, urging them to support him in the primary.  You can do this here:

But what more can/should I do?

I have been opposed to the war in Iraq since its inception.  I think that Joe Lieberman is terribly wrong on this issue, and that American soldiers and Iraqi (civilians) suffer the daily, deadly consequences.

What else can I do to help Lamont win this seat?  I'm not sure whether or not to donate, given Lamont's wealth and the fact that the primary is only 7 days away.  Will a donation make a difference in the final week?  If so, why not self-fund?

If he takes the Dem nod, I'll throw him $100 or so, no doubt.    Thoughts?
